Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands takes place shortly after the Mexican–American War. The game’s campaign mode takes place between 20 and the player’s objective is to stop the illegal drug trade and take down the warlords and the cartels. It is set in a time shortly after the Mexican–American War, and players assume the role of a “Ghost”, an operative who is part of the United States’ paramilitary force charged with carrying out deep-cover missions in Mexico to target the Mexican cartels.
Its gameplay is an open-world action-adventure video game set in the Mexican state of Sonora, a fictional analog to modern-day Mexico.
The Wii U version supports local multiplayer and the Nintendo Switch version supports local multiplayer in ad hoc mode.The game was released in the United States on January 7, 2017.
